I recently started training a few days with a new partner. This is how he does curls and seems to be effective so far.
Standing with an Ez curl he puts a plate on each side, he curls it up ending palms facing about at his eyes, then he tucks/pulls his elbows all the way back and lets it decline slowly for a strong negative, he hits 12-15 of those Rest Paused.
Note: When I first did this when I thought I was pulling/tucking my elbows I was actually just pulling my shoulders back. I lightened up the weight and can now do it right. On the way down the bar is pretty close to your body. My arms hurt worse than they have ever before, not saying thats a sign for growth, but something is up...
Anyone else ever done it this way ??? |

I've done something similar but instead of on the negative, while I'm contracting the muscle I pull the elbows back AND squeeze my elbows against my side as hard as I can. I relax this on the negative. Amazing how a 50lb ex curl bar can kick your ass doing this.

That's the only way I know how to do them. Does hurt like hell and you should see some growth.
